Role overview
Meltwater is hiring an Account Manager in Singapore to oversee a portfolio of SaaS customer accounts after they move over from the Client Acquisition team. The role centers on retaining customers, renewing contracts, and uncovering opportunities to expand account value over time.

Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned accounts and manage them through the post-acquisition phase, including renewals and growth.
- Build account strategies that strengthen retention and support long-term revenue expansion.
- Spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities and actively drive account expansion.
- Work closely with Customer Success colleagues to improve engagement and product adoption.
- Coordinate with Renewals Representatives to protect retention, manage renewal deals, and negotiate pricing where needed.
- Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders inside each account to improve satisfaction and engagement.
- Track usage trends and customer behavior to guide renewal and expansion planning.
- Use proactive sales techniques to defend accounts against competitive pressure during renewal discussions.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above is preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in account management, ideally in software or SaaS.
- Proven background in managing renewals, account growth, and retention.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills focused on customer outcomes.
- Ability to create practical account plans aligned with client objectives.
- Comfort identifying expansion opportunities and turning them into results.
- Strong collaboration skills for working across success and renewals teams.
- Results-driven mindset with attention to both growth and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setup with 3 days per week in the office.
- Legal authorization to work in the country of hire is required.
