Scrum Master

About the Role

RedMatter Solutions is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to manage complex Agile projects spanning multiple technical teams. This position suits a professional skilled in orchestrating Agile delivery in dynamic environments, fostering high-performing teams, and advancing continuous enhancement in enterprise modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve obstacles to delivery while proactively addressing risks, issues, and dependencies affecting team productivity.
• Manage and support multiple Agile teams simultaneously ensuring consistency in delivery processes and alignment across workstreams.
• Lead Agile transformation initiatives by coaching teams, Product Owners, and key stakeholders to adopt Agile principles and practices.
• Implement Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban frameworks tailored to each team's maturity and workflow.
• Collaborate with technical leads to support DevSecOps, CI/CD processes, automated tests, and continuous integration efforts.
• Assist in release planning, estimation, and aligning roadmaps with team capacity and priorities.
• Utilize Agile metrics including velocity, burndown/burnup charts, and cumulative flow diagrams to pinpoint bottlenecks and inform improvements.
• Encourage servant leadership, teamwork, transparent communication, and ongoing learning within teams.
• Develop teams aimed at consistent delivery, quality excellence, and customer-focused value delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in Agile project delivery roles.
• At least 5 years working specifically as a Scrum Master.
• Experience supporting several Agile teams concurrently.
• History of facilitating software development in Federal or similarly regulated environments.
• Preferred experience in modernization projects such as low-code development, cloud migrations, workflow automation, or enterprise integration.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban frameworks, backlog management, sprint and release planning, Agile reporting, and continuous improvement approaches.
• Experience in Agile coaching, facilitation, and cross-team synchronization to foster continuous delivery practices.
• Expertise in coordinating DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Certifications required: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
• Additional preferred certifications include SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) and PMI-ACP.
