Role Overview

The Engineering Logistics Portal (ELP) Operator is responsible for overseeing all Typhoon repairable assets that have failed at the Forward location and require processing through the ELP system. This role involves monitoring assets throughout Quality Gate, Engineering Tasking, and Repair Scheduling stages, while coordinating closely with key stakeholders including the Part M engineer, Repairs Inventory Planner, and Part M Repair Scheduler.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accurately document and maintain all ML2/ML4 activities and transactions within the IMS system.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and manage daily operational activities and reviews as necessary.
  • Efficiently manage demand for ML2/ML4 activities, meeting delivery deadlines and tracking performance relative to contractual KPIs.
  • Identify, resolve, or escalate any performance shortfalls promptly.
  • Generate reports to detect issues and facilitate timely resolution or escalation.
  • Ensure department procedures comply with safety protocols and are consistently applied.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders involved.
  • Provide specialist advice and collaborate with inventory planning, procurement, engineering, finance, line/bay maintenance, as well as external service providers and partners to resolve supply and demand challenges.
  • Analyze and interpret usage and transaction data to pinpoint recurring problems and inform necessary parties, supporting implementation of corrective measures.
  • Accelerate processing of urgently needed items.
  • Support team efforts to achieve required outputs aligned with business, customer, and contract obligations.

  • Guarantee all ML2/ML4 assets undergo Engineering Quality Checks and Repair Scheduling through the Engineering Portal.
  • Ensure repairs comply with DF&P standards and coordinate with relevant supervisors and schedulers.
  • Conduct regular Repair Reviews to ensure timely delivery to internal customers according to standards.
  • Utilize performance data and metrics to report successes and identify risks to senior management.
  • Ensure customers receive service aligned with business KPIs, particularly meeting QEAF Typhoon Fleet's requirements on time and with quality.
  • Assist in supply chain data analysis to detect recurring issues and support corrective action plans.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver effective asset management by meeting objectives, monitoring trends, resolving issues, and escalating problems to the Supply Chain Operations Manager as needed.
  • Ensure all asset management records are complete and maintained accurately in IMS.
  • Ensure compliance with QEAF CAME/145 MOE procedures and associated safety management systems.
  • Apply understanding of human factors, error, risk, and safety management within Part M and 145 maintenance areas.
  • Ensure demand management aligns with Part M procedures and Part 145 Maintenance Governance, supporting audits and timely remediation.
  • Maintain compliance with Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework, ITAR/WOME, and notify the organization of regulatory updates.
  • Stay informed on contractual requirements and integrate any changes into operational activities.

Requirements

  • Experience with operational supply chains in a Continuous Airworthiness Organization and familiarity with related protocols and procedures.
  • Strong working relationships within maintenance operations and related functions including procurement, engineering, suppliers, and customers.
  • Understanding of ML2/ML4 activity constraints, lead times, and the importance of proactive prioritization.
  • Willingness to develop functional expertise over time focused on continuous improvement and capacity building.
  • Proficient in analytical and planning skills, relationship-building, problem-solving, and IT system utilization.
  • Competent in supply chain and maintenance operations, able to define and improve processes and manage daily operations efficiently.
  • Possession of a valid driving license.
  • Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, is preferred but not mandatory.
