Reporter

Role Overview

This position is for a full-time Reporter based onsite in Kerala, India. The primary responsibility is to collect and report information related to construction projects by interacting with site personnel, attending meetings, and liaising with stakeholders. The role demands preparing comprehensive, timely reports that cover project status, challenges, and milestones to inform internal teams and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with relevant individuals and document activities at construction sites.
• Compile observations and data into coherent and well-structured progress reports and updates.
• Create news-style write-ups summarizing major developments within projects.
• Support multimedia reporting through handling photographs and short videos appropriate to construction contexts.
• Work closely with project managers to guarantee accurate and consistent communication.
• Maintain organized documentation records and adhere strictly to company guidelines regarding reporting, confidentiality, and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong command of reporting and news-writing techniques to accurately capture project activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing structured reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Basic proficiency in multimedia content handling, including image and short video management.
• Attention to detail and good organizational capabilities to operate effectively in active construction environments.
• Relevant experience in journalism, reporting, or documentation; experience in construction or infrastructure sectors is highly preferable.
• Fluency in English is essential; familiarity with regional languages spoken in Kerala is beneficial.
• Competency with common office applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, and data entry tools.
• Educational background preferably includes a diploma or degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related disciplines.
