Job description

Job Overview

Join the manufacturing team as a Production Team Member in Hamilton, New Zealand, contributing to the delivery of automation and sensing technologies for domestic and international markets. This permanent full-time position offers competitive pay with benefits and opportunities for career advancement within a dynamic industry.

Core Duties

  • Assemble company products while adhering to required quality standards.
  • Perform testing procedures to ensure products meet quality specifications.
  • Assist in managing production tasks and provide peer training and support to meet the production plan.
  • Handle material receiving processes aligned with quality control standards as well as dispatch finished products and spare parts.
  • Maintain accuracy in conducting inventory cycle counts, stock counts, and stock movement tracking.
  • Properly document all production activities complying with company and quality regulations.

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  • Identify, report, and control workplace hazards and environmental factors under EHS guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and internal EHS requirements.
  • Participate in setting EHS goals and support related improvement projects.
  • Deliver EHS instructions, supervision, and training to promote safe, risk-free work environments.
  • Generate required EHS reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor and implement any necessary EHS audits and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are carried out.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed secondary-level education.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies is beneficial.
  • Computer literacy is essential; experience with SAP software is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Current driver’s license required; holding an F endorsement and OSH certificate is preferred.
