About the Role
Ashfield District Council invites applications for the role of Payroll Adviser based in Kirkby-In-Ashfield at the Council Offices. This is a full-time role requiring 37 hours per week on a permanent contract basis. The role comes with a competitive pay scale ranging from A328,598 to A333,699 annually, subject to pay awards.
Role Purpose and Responsibilities
The Payroll Adviser will be instrumental in delivering an efficient and high-quality payroll service across Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils. Key duties include ensuring all employees receive timely and accurate payments in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The adviser will act as a payroll expert providing guidance, resolving complex payroll queries, and supporting the continuous enhancement of payroll systems, processes, and overall service quality.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should hold a Level 3 Payroll qualification or alternatively have a Level 2 qualification complemented by extensive payroll experience. Applicants must demonstrate strong numerical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong dedication to exceptional customer service.
