Job Overview

The Materials Specialist plays a key role in managing warehouse operations within the assigned division and location. This includes ensuring compliance with company standards, promoting safe and efficient practices, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting stock planning and replenishment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established procedures and standards to maintain effective control of inventory and product flow within the warehouse and related storage areas.
• Directly perform or oversee warehouse operations such as receiving, issuing, inventory counting, and disposal of obsolete items.
• Ensure all required documentation and labeling comply with company policies and local regulations.
• Accurately update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintain precise stock transaction records.
• Monitor and implement strategies to reduce surplus and aging stock within the assigned divisions.
• Plan and carry out cycle counts and periodic physical inventory checks, addressing adjustments and reporting root causes according to global guidelines.
• Regularly review and uphold data integrity within the WMS.
• Manage internal transfers of field materials, ensuring quality controls are met and finalizing transaction closure per division quality standards.
• Continuously pursue process improvements through Lean methodologies such as 5S, aiming to enhance warehouse efficiency and minimize waste.
• Conduct self-assessments and audits as required by global processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in a comparable warehouse or materials management role.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and implement operational concepts.
• Adaptable to dynamic, fast-moving work environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills capable of working effectively across warehouse, procurement, and field teams.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Prior experience in the energy sector is advantageous.
