IT Support Officer - Australia

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented IT Support Officer to join our dynamic IT team based in Australia. This role offers the chance to provide technical assistance, resolve hardware and software issues, and contribute to the seamless functioning of IT operations within the organization.

Key Duties

• Offer first-level IT support through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and manage desktop computers, laptops, and related peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, including password setups and access authorizations.
• Refer advanced technical problems to senior IT personnel as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions, and IT procedures.
• Assist with software installations, system updates, and routine maintenance activities.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards ensuring issues are resolved promptly.

Candidate Profile

• Strong capability in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Basic proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and computer hardware components.
• Some understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and VPN is advantageous.
• Experience using ticketing systems or remote support technologies is favorable.
• Excellent communication skills complemented by a customer service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Enthusiastic attitude with eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred.
