Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to take on the role of Head of People & Culture at our Düsseldorf-Rath site on a full-time, permanent basis. This pivotal position entails responsibility for the Continental Europe People agenda, collaborating closely with regional leadership teams and international stakeholders to develop and strengthen the HR function amid growth and organizational change, while fostering a positive and performance-driven corporate culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, stabilize, and further develop the regional HR team by defining clear roles, work methods, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate intensively with regional executives and leadership to craft and implement a coherent People vision.
• Drive a cultural reboot focused on trust, engagement, cooperation, and solution-oriented behavior within the region.
• Ensure pragmatic, commercially oriented, and compliant HR processes are in place.
• Offer confident employee relations advice balancing empathy, consistency, and business realities.
• Work in close partnership with Shared Services in Germany, HR counterparts across Europe, and headquarters in the Netherlands.
• Manage constructive and trusting relations with the works council.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications, accompanied by solid experience in strategic and operational HR management.
• Several years serving as HR Director, People Director, Head of HR, or similar senior HR leadership roles within international settings.
• Proven expertise in building, scaling, or realigning organizations especially after phases of change, restructuring, or growth.
• Preferably holds legal knowledge or thorough understanding of European labor law and HR practices, particularly relevant to Germany and other countries like France or Spain.
• Strong competencies in organizational design, culture development, and professional handling of co-determination and works council matters.
• Sound business acumen with an ability to align speed, organizational structure, and workplace culture pragmatically.
• Relatable, decisive leadership style coupled with hands-on approach and a high degree of execution capability.
• Resilient and optimistic character with a passion for active change management, combined with a friendly and positive demeanor that fosters collaboration.
• Excellent spoken and written proficiency in German and English.
