Position Overview
Join PepsiCo Beverages as a full-time Fleet Mechanic in Saskatoon, where you will play a key role in ensuring that our celebrated brands reach consumers safely and efficiently across Canada. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned fleet equipment
- Utilize advanced predictive diagnostic software to reduce vehicle breakdown incidents
- Diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and replace parts as necessary
- Address local road calls and coordinate additional service assistance when required
- Adhere to all safety and productivity standards during all tasks
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or 310T Journeyperson certification
- Valid Class 1/AZ driver's license in good standing
- Minimum of two years of experience performing preventive maintenance on Class 6 to 8 trucks and industrial equipment
- Ability to provide your own toolset
- Capable of working independently with minimal guidance
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience servicing propane and electric forklifts, hydraulic lift gates, agricultural machinery, reefers, vans, pickups, and cars
- Competence in welding and electrical repairs
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds
- Comfortable working in environments with varied temperatures
- Capable of frequently standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and grasping
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
