Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for dedicated Full-Time Deli Assistants to join Mac's Place Deli at The Barack Obama Plaza. Candidates must demonstrate full availability on both weekdays and weekends, as this role is a full-time commitment and not limited to part-time or weekend shifts.
Primary Objective
Your central mission will be to deliver outstanding customer experiences that go beyond expectations on every visit.
Customer Care Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to customers, ensuring exceptional care standards.
- Engage effectively and warmly with customers to address their needs.
- Handle customer complaints professionally, escalating to the store manager when necessary.
- Serve products following strict Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Stay informed about ongoing deli promotions and sales.
- Assist customers by answering queries related to deli product offerings.
Operational Duties and Store Presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the deli area and equipment in accordance with food hygiene policies.
- Receive and inspect stock adhering to company protocols.
- Ensure storage and display of products comply with food hygiene and merchandising guidelines.
- Rotate stock properly to minimize waste.
- Stay vigilant to prevent product loss and wastage.
- Perform stock takes as directed by management.
- Strictly follow HACCP regulations and food hygiene practices.
- Promote health and safety by reducing risks and hazards for yourself, coworkers, and customers.
Food Service Requirements
- Monitor temperatures within the deli to ensure compliance with HACCP standards.
- Maintain records related to HACCP according to store policies.
- Observe critical control points to protect food from contamination.
- Adhere to all relevant controls concerning fresh and red meats.
Additional Duties
Perform any other tasks assigned by the assistant store manager or store manager.
Work Environment
The role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume setting requiring considerable physical effort. Successful teamwork and seamless communication are vital to maintain smooth operations across all areas.

Only candidates possessing the legal right to work in Ireland will be considered.
