Retail Night Hatch Attendant

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated full-time candidates to fill the position of Night Hatch Attendant at The Kinnegad Plaza. This role operates strictly from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM and requires flexibility to work night shifts. Applicants must be 20 years of age or older to qualify.

Role Purpose

The primary responsibility is to support the Retail & Forecourt Manager by overseeing site operations during nighttime hours, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous staffing of the night hatch.
• Train and induct new employees working night shifts as necessary.
• Communicate operational issues effectively to daytime personnel and provide thorough handovers for any unresolved matters.
• Deliver consistent and excellent customer service throughout the shift.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks such as servicing coffee machines and other equipment according to procedures, especially during quieter periods.
• Assist with restocking duties and uphold cleanliness standards during low-traffic times.
• Support effective management of the retail store and forecourt by addressing customer inquiries and proposing enhancements to improve service quality.
• Identify potential store hazards and take actions to mitigate or eliminate them.
• Help minimize stock losses due to wastage, damage, or theft by adhering to proper food and waste management protocols.
• Ensure the store is merchandised attractively and competitively in line with company policies.
• Maintain proper stock rotation practices to guarantee product freshness.

The shop remains closed to the public during these hours; however, limited service is provided through the night hatch.
