Engineering Technician – HVAC

Job Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma or ITI certification in HVAC or a related technical discipline.
• Have 3 to 5 years of work experience within luxury hotel environments, which is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the effective functioning of all HVAC equipment, suggesting enhancements when needed.
• Contribute to efforts focused on lowering energy use and utility expenses.
• Maintain daily records of cold room and refrigeration unit readings to ensure correct performance.
• Perform repair and upkeep tasks on various HVAC components including AHUs, FCUs, ventilation and exhaust systems, window A/C units, and packaged units.
• Assist in compiling lists of spare parts required for HVAC and refrigeration maintenance.
• Keep plant rooms, workshops, and associated areas clean and well-organized.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including first aid and fire emergency procedures.
• Work cooperatively and professionally with coworkers, guests, contractors, and other departments.
• Take part in drafting the annual POMEC budget and oversee cost management related to HVAC operations.
• Document any incidents or accidents following the hotel's established policies.
• Provide guest escorts or support as necessary.
• Suggest updates to operational policies and procedures aimed at improving efficiency.
