Electrician

Job Overview

The Electrician plays a vital role in assisting the Engineering department with the upkeep of the hotel's electrical infrastructure. This role is focused on ensuring all electrical devices and installations function safely and effectively, aligning with the hotel's quality standards. The position involves conducting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnosing electrical problems, and addressing service calls throughout all hotel areas including guest rooms, public spaces, and operational zones.

Primary Duties

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on electrical circuits and equipment.
• Identify and fix electrical issues within lighting systems, power outlets, switches, and control boards.
• Perform safety and efficiency inspections for all electrical setups.
• Quickly attend to electrical repair requests from various hotel departments.
• Assist the Engineering team during maintenance, upgrades, and new installations.
• Conduct routine checks and report any electrical hazards or defects.
• Adhere strictly to hotel safety standards and legal regulations related to electrical work.
• Document maintenance records, repairs performed, and current equipment condition.
• Comply with all Health & Safety guidelines and emergency procedures of the hotel.
• Collaborate with Engineering colleagues to ensure maintenance tasks are completed promptly and effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of high school or possession of a technical/vocational certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related program.
• Prior experience working as an Electrician, particularly within a hotel environment or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, lighting installations, and various electrical devices.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently.
• Familiarity with electrical safety practices and standards.
• Good analytical abilities and clear communication skills.
