Child Caregiver/Nanny

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Child Caregiver/Nanny to work full-time on-site within a private household in Mission, British Columbia. This permanent position involves providing comprehensive care for children, supporting household responsibilities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full charge of the household during parents' absence.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and linens.
• Travel with the family when required to assist in child supervision and related household duties.
• Care for children by bathing, dressing, feeding, and preparing nutritious meals.
• Enforce discipline according to parents’ guidelines and instruct children on personal hygiene and social skills.
• Maintain records of children's daily activities and health information.
• Organize games, outings, and other engaging activities for children of various ages.
• Prepare children for rest periods and provide homework support.
• Escort children to and from school and appointments.
• Maintain safety and health standards within the home environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
• Previous experience in childcare is an asset but not mandatory.
• English language proficiency is necessary.
• Valid driver's license is beneficial.
• Availability to use public transportation is required.
• Must pass a criminal record check.

Additional Information

• Optional live-in accommodation is provided free of charge but not mandatory.
• Employment offers 30 to 40 hours weekly with negotiable pay starting at $20 per hour.
