Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Assistant Site Manager to support daily operations at a bustling construction site located at 1/107 Highbury Rd, Burwood, Victoria. This part-time role, offering 3 to 5 working days per week, provides an opportunity to grow your expertise in site management while collaborating with a skilled professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager by assisting with coordination of daily site tasks to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within timelines.
- Facilitate communication with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to streamline site activities.
- Track construction progress actively, identify potential challenges or delays, and communicate improvement strategies to the Site Manager.
- Ensure all operations comply with Work Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and site safety plans.
- Perform routine site inspections to assess workmanship quality and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Manage logistics including organization of material deliveries, equipment use, and warehouse coordination to avoid delays.
- Keep comprehensive site records such as daily diaries, progress and defect reports, variation documentation, and photographic evidence.
- Assist in project scheduling and milestone monitoring, preparing for Building Surveyor reviews, Occupancy Permit acquisitions, and final project handover.
- Coordinate quality assurance activities and defect rectifications to ensure completed work meets company standards.
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, consultants, and trades, representing the RubiksCraft brand effectively.
- Provide feedback and suggest enhancements for construction methods, site efficiency, and project delivery processes.
- Carry out additional project-related duties as necessary to contribute to successful outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or on-site roles is an advantage.
- Fundamental knowledge of construction workflows and safety principles.
- Excellent organizational and communication capabilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously when required.
- Physically fit to work in outdoor site environments.
- Dependable and punctual with a commitment to maintain a secure and efficient workplace.
- Possession of a valid White Card (mandatory).
- Driver’s license required.
Working Conditions and Compensation
- Flexible scheduling with 3–5 working days per week based on project requirements.
- A probation period lasting 3 months.
- Hourly wage of $26, disbursed monthly.
