Role Overview

The Team Member position within the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC) or the Joint Control Center (JCC) is critical for facilitating smooth airport operations through vigilant real-time monitoring and coordination among various stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing resources promptly, alleviating congestion, and maintaining operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee terminal operations to identify congestion or irregular incidents and coordinate necessary corrective measures with terminal operations, security personnel, and related departments.
  • Ensure effective baggage delivery by supervising processes and addressing any delays swiftly.
  • Manage Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS) and Gate Operating Systems (GOS) to allocate parking stands ahead of flight arrivals, ensuring timely block-in and block-out operations.
  • Liaise with the Landing Parking Cell and non-scheduled operators to grant departure clearances aligned with flight schedules.
  • Conduct manual or automated in-terminal announcements as requested by airlines or terminal management.
  • Provide flight status updates using paging systems to keep passengers and visitors well-informed, particularly during irregular operations or disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate and prompt flight data on Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS).
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Services, Air Traffic Control (ATC), ground handlers, and terminal operations to rapidly respond to medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate with ATC on flight arrivals, parking allocations, runway changes, towing permissions, and other operational factors.
  • Partner with airlines, unscheduled operators, ground services, engineering, and security teams to ensure smooth shift operations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory compliance, assisting in both internal and external audits.
  • Collect operational data and compile reports covering shift summaries, incidents, and performance metrics.
  • Support staff in completing essential compliance training on aviation protocols, safety standards, ISO certifications, and operational quality.
  • Engage in drills, simulations, and cross-departmental training exercises to enhance coordination among teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational qualification of a Post Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years’ experience in airport operations, ground handling, or airside services.
