Role Overview

The Talent Advisor role in Cork involves partnering with hiring managers and HR teams to attract top talent by leveraging strong sourcing skills, digital tools, and local market insights. This position focuses on developing innovative recruitment strategies regionally and internationally, streamlining hiring processes, and enhancing the candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies targeting Ireland, the UK, US, and Canada, with special attention to Cork and Irish markets.
• Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, AI-driven platforms, talent intelligence, networking, referrals, and community engagement.
• Apply a digital-first approach using automation, AI, and recruiting technology to optimize sourcing, outreach, and hiring manager support.
• Analyze local market data to provide practical hiring recommendations concerning talent availability, competitor actions, compensation, and candidate expectations.
• Collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR partners to ensure timely hiring of appropriate candidates.
• Advise and train hiring managers on consistent and equitable interview and selection processes.
• Maintain momentum and clarity throughout hiring cycles with strong emphasis on service quality and candidate experience.
• Assist in formulating competitive offer packages for new hires.
• Promote the use of referrals, internal networks, and talent communities in recruitment strategies.
• Use recruitment metrics and data analytics to refine hiring decisions and improve the recruitment process continuously.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or minimum of four years of full-cycle corporate recruiting experience.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment efficiently while maintaining quality and responsiveness.
• Expertise in direct sourcing methods such as Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, talent mapping, pipeline development, referral cultivation, and engaging passive candidates.
• Proficiency with AI, automation, and recruitment technologies to enhance sourcing, screening, candidate communication, and workflow.
• Deep understanding of local talent markets, especially in Cork and Ireland, to inform practical hiring strategies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to guide talent acquisition based on business priorities, skill gaps, and market conditions.
• Familiarity with employment law and corporate recruitment practices.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience transitioning from agency recruiting to in-house talent acquisition.
• Background recruiting for corporate function positions.
• Knowledge of tools like Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, HiredScore, Paradox, Copilot, or other AI-enabled recruitment platforms.
• Enthusiasm for recruitment technology and continuous improvement of the candidate journey.

Working Conditions

• Hybrid working model with time split between home and McKesson’s Cork Airport Business Park office.
