Signage Fabrication and Installation Technician

This position is based in Doha, Qatar and requires on-site work. It is offered as a full-time role.

Experience and Language Requirements

Candidates should have 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, with prior work in the GCC region considered advantageous. Basic English reading, writing, and communication skills are necessary.

Primary Duties

• Fabricate, assemble, and install a variety of indoor and outdoor signage types.
• Interpret technical drawings, production layouts, and installation blueprints to ensure precise implementation.
• Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and finish signage elements utilizing industry-standard tools and equipment.
• Prepare surfaces and substrates appropriately for applying vinyl graphics, ensuring proper positioning and a high-quality finish.
• Apply self-adhesive vinyl graphics on different materials including acrylic, glass, metal, composite panels, and vehicles.
• Mount, laminate, trim, and finalize printed graphics to comply with production specifications.
• Install illuminated signs such as 3D channel letters, lightboxes, directional signage, and commercial branding components.
• Conduct ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) cladding installations and perform related finishing tasks as required.
• Carry out signage installation at client sites safely, adhering to occupational safety standards.
• Inspect finished work to confirm quality, precision, and adherence to project specifications.
• Collaborate with production and installation teams to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and keep the workspace clean and orderly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in signage fabrication and installation, particularly in commercial, retail, or advertising environments.
• Competence in vinyl application, graphic finishing, and assembly of signage components.
• Proven expertise installing illuminated signage, channel letters, lightboxes, and ACP cladding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans effectively.
• Familiarity with workshop tools, fabrication machinery, and installation methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail along with effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
• Experience working in the GCC region is preferred but not essential.
