ServiceNow Business Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Business Analyst to serve as a critical link between business objectives and technical implementation. The position is based in Toronto with a requirement to work onsite four days per week. This contract role offers an hourly rate between CAD 50 and CAD 60.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine the ServiceNow backlog by auditing existing stories, eliminating outdated or technical-debt-laden items to maintain a focused and business-aligned list.
• Conduct root cause analysis of process inefficiencies and system problems by collaborating closely with both business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Promote the use of ServiceNow's out-of-the-box functionalities, advising stakeholders on scalable solutions and reducing unnecessary custom development.
• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements and convert intricate processes into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance the ServiceNow platform and support the design of future state processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within ServiceNow environments.
• Expertise in backlog management, requirements gathering, and development of Agile user stories.
• Strong facilitation skills enabling effective communication between business and technical teams and influencing decisions.
• Background in process improvement, gap analysis, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow best practices and out-of-the-box features is highly desirable.
