About the Role and Team

At Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, we are dedicated to creating magical experiences through innovative entertainment. As part of our manufacturing team at Central Shops located within The Walt Disney World Resort, you will coordinate production scheduling for complex, low-volume manufacturing and maintenance projects. These range from fabricating individual parts to refurbishing entire roller coaster trains. Your role involves creating daily production schedules, managing project timelines, and estimating delivery dates while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Production Centers, Quality Assurance, Client Service Managers, Engineers, Estimators, and Procurement to ensure feasibility and timeliness of project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize planning and scheduling software, specifically Maximo and Primavera, to input new production orders and coordinate resource allocation across Central Shops.
  • Run daily production schedules for each manufacturing area and liaise with teams to ensure resource availability matches scheduled requirements, minimizing discrepancies.
  • Assess schedules to detect any risks or potential delays in project delivery, working proactively to address them.
  • Collaborate with planners and production personnel to optimize the sequencing of operations, ensuring all preceding tasks are completed timely for final assembly.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough scheduling data, supporting data-driven decision-making and analysis.
