Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to proposal development by formulating discipline execution strategies, estimating budgets, preparing content, and communicating with clients.
- Lead full or partial technical proposal components when required.
- Plan and allocate man-hour budgets, timelines, and staff assignments based on required skill levels under guidance from the Discipline Manager.
- Ensure adequate project coverage during planned vacations and unexpected absences.
- Provide mentoring, training, and development support to team members.
- Facilitate resolution of inter-discipline, vendor, and client issues.
- Guarantee all technical activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and security standards.
- Formulate environmental strategies for obtaining project approvals.
- Oversee and manage regulatory approval processes.
- Deliver environmental engineering outputs from concept through detail design phases across diverse projects.
- Conduct permitting studies, including Environmental, Social, Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA).
- Perform environmental impact modeling and assessments.
- Lead studies related to solid and hazardous waste management.
- Evaluate discharges and emissions in line with regulations such as MARPOL.
- Support master planning and sustainability assessments.
- Conduct air pollution control analysis.
- Identify environmental study requirements and define study scopes.
- Manage networking and cross-departmental interfaces, including direct client interactions.
- Organize Environmental Hazard Identification (ENVID) workshops and prepare related risk registers.
- Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) workshops as needed.
- Engage in Formal Safety Assessments.
- Coordinate reliability analyses like Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) studies when applicable to environmental factors.
- Review environmental criteria throughout project design stages.
- Develop or contribute to Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and corresponding management plans including Construction and Operation EMPs.
- Monitor EMS and EMP implementation and conduct site audits as necessary.
- Identify and manage project procedures and deliverables.
- Manage Corporate Technical Review (CTR) activities, including progress reporting.
- Estimate scope of work and associated CTR budgets.
- Lead and supervise a team of professionals and technical staff.
- Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and specialists.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders on all consulting-related matters.
Quality Assurance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance protocols throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with project managers to comply fully with Worley Project Management Process and Environmental Management System guidelines.
- Monitor and close out identified risks and opportunities.
- Maintain personal adherence to Occupational Health and Safety practices and promote safety awareness.
Industry and Educational Background
- Extensive senior-level expertise within environmental engineering for municipal, industrial, hydrocarbon, and petrochemical facilities.
- Holds an engineering degree in Environmental Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Advanced qualifications such as a Master's or Doctorate in Environmental Studies are preferred.
- Experience within regulatory authorities is advantageous.

- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental management within project environments.
- Proficiency in permitting studies including ESHIA and conducting plant environmental audits.
- Environmental impact modeling capabilities.
- Experience with management of solid and hazardous wastes.

- Skills in discharge and emission evaluations, including adherence to MARPOL regulations.
- Master planning expertise and sustainability assessment knowledge.
- Competence in water reuse and recycling initiatives.
- Ability to conduct air pollution control evaluations.
- Familiarity with HSE registers and practices applicable to relevant facilities.
