Role Overview

As a Junior Product Designer, you will join a dynamic design team that collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and AI teams to simplify intricate problems into user-friendly product experiences. This role provides the opportunity to grow through learning and progressively taking responsibility as you work on sophisticated, data-centric products used by enterprises to guide critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform product challenges into straightforward user experiences by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clarify complex workflows.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the underlying problems, user needs, and success criteria rather than solely focusing on interface design.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams in discovery and planning sessions, ask clarifying questions, and comprehend how design impacts product development.
• Enhance your design skills with strong emphasis on hierarchy, layout, interaction, usability, and visual design within Lucidya's design system.
• Engage constructively in design critiques, openly receive feedback, and refine solutions accordingly.
• Assist in gathering user insights through research and usability testing to inform improved design decisions.
• Design with regional considerations in mind, accommodating bilingual (Arabic and English) and right-to-left layout requirements.
• Gain confidence in presenting and explaining design work to Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Early career designer with approximately 1-2 years of relevant experience, including strong internships, academic projects, or personal portfolios.
• Curious about the rationale behind design tasks, consistently questioning purpose, audience, and simplicity.
• Comfortable with uncertainty, asking for guidance when unclear, and receptive to feedback without taking it personally.
• Effective communicator who explains design choices clearly and constructively voices improvement suggestions.
• Detail-focused while maintaining awareness of overall objectives and user outcomes.
• Works well collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Writers, and other Designers.
• Proficient with Figma and knowledgeable about core UX principles such as information architecture, interaction design, usability, and visual hierarchy.
• Adaptable to fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments, proactively advancing work without waiting for all instructions.
• Must be a Saudi national, as this position is reserved accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with B2B SaaS or data-intensive analytics products.
• Familiarity with AI-driven products, including conversational interfaces or AI agents.
• Background designing for both Arabic and English languages and right-to-left layouts.
• Knowledge of research and testing tools like FigJam, Maze, or LogRocket.
