About the Role
Care UK is a recognised private care provider with more than 200 care homes throughout the UK. The company is looking for an energetic Service Desk Analyst to become part of its team in Colchester. The role focuses on delivering a responsive and professional IT service to over 15,000 users across 250+ sites, helping ensure the service desk operates effectively, consistently, and to a high standard.
What You’ll Do
- Work under the direction of the IT Service Desk Manager to make sure customers receive the support they need.
- Track service desk patterns and give extra support where demand is highest.
- Serve as an escalation point for operational issues coming through the service desk.
- Take charge of major incident communication and act as the Major Incident Manager when needed.
- Review incident and request tickets raised by the service desk team to maintain consistency and quality.
- Oversee the IT Service Desk rota and holiday request calendar.
- Hold regular calls and meetings with service desk staff.
- Help bring new IT Service Desk Analysts on board, including induction, training, and mentoring.
- Support the IT Service Desk Manager with process rollouts and ongoing service improvements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly statistical reports.
