Food Counter Attendant

Job Overview

No formal education or previous experience is required as full training will be provided. This role is based in a fast-paced environment requiring physical stamina and the ability to multitask efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply and arrange clean dishes, cutlery, and other dining essentials at service counters and tables.
• Monitor and document amounts of food utilized during operations.
• Package food items for take-out orders and correctly portion and wrap foods as needed.
• Prepare, heat, and complete simple food orders for customers.
• Serve patrons at service counters or buffet lines effectively.
• Stock and organize refrigerators and salad bars to maintain freshness and availability.
• Take customer orders accurately and provide customer service at the point of sale.
• Operate both manual and electric kitchen tools to clean, peel, slice, and trim ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across the kitchen, including work surfaces, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.
• Accept deliveries, unpack supplies, and store them appropriately in refrigerators, freezers, or cupboards.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain clean floor areas through sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
• Prepare fresh vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting as needed.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Expect to work in a fast-moving and demanding atmosphere.
• Tasks are repetitive and require standing for long durations.
• Ability to perform well under pressure is necessary.

Employment Details

• Various shifts available including early morning, morning, evening, night, and weekends.
