Facilities Technician

Job Overview

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing statutory, compliance, and routine maintenance inspections throughout the plant, ensuring high standards are maintained within the factory and its surrounds. The role operates Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 16:30.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly inspections and tests including fire alarm systems, spark detection, sprinkler pumps, water flushing, and water temperature, ensuring all data is accurately logged in SAP promptly
• Carry out monthly examinations such as ladder inspections, fire extinguisher checks, and fire door assessments, recording outcomes timely and correctly on SAP
• Perform necessary cleaning tasks immediately to uphold a safe and tidy environment
• Maintain store areas and help with inventory stock takes
• Retrieve and monitor parts used in maintenance activities
• Support the general plant upkeep by completing minor repairs, labor tasks, housekeeping, and painting work involving plumbing, electrical, and woodwork repairs
• Comfortable working at heights, including tasks on air conditioning units and roof gutters
• Assist various departments as needed to meet company goals
• Adapt to flexible working hours when required
• Fulfill any additional reasonable duties assigned by management
• Contribute to the organization's compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications
