Role Overview

Join our Architecture division at our Berlin location as a permanent full-time Enterprise Architect for Group Synergies. Seize the opportunity to make an impact and unlock your potential within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with business units and IT leaders across the Cornelsen Group to create and implement a cohesive group-wide architectural vision covering business capabilities, processes, data flows, applications, and technology platforms.
• Organize, lead, and analyze workshops with business departments to identify opportunities for synergy through shared business capabilities.
• Ensure integration of derived measures to achieve the target architecture vision and the execution of group capabilities into strategic plans and implementation roadmaps.
• Actively support critical implementation initiatives by facilitating synergy and scaling opportunities while enforcing adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Resolve conflicts transparently between local requirements and group-wide interests to foster alignment and shared benefits.
• Establish and enforce accepted group-wide standards, identifying and decommissioning outdated systems.
• Promote collaboration within the Cornelsen Group to build sustainable added value through your efforts.
• Represent the group perspective within the Architecture team.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, IT strategy, or related roles.
• Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Administration with a strong IT focus, or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working within highly matrixed organizations or corporate group structures.
• Strong understanding of business processes, organizational development, and enterprise architecture.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to convey complex subjects clearly to management, business, and IT audiences.
• Experience managing cross-departmental transformation and change initiatives.
• High degree of self-responsibility, persuasive ability, and diplomatic skills in dealing with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools such as SAP LeanIX.
• Fluent German and good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel to various locations within the Cornelsen Group.
