About the Role

The Health IT Data Analyst I will support the ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) Health Information Technology Unit (HITU) by turning healthcare and operational data into usable insights. The role involves analysis, reporting, and data visualization to help leadership make informed decisions. Work is carried out in approved government-managed systems under established oversight and authorization. This is a remote position that partners closely with the IHSC/HITU team in a federal healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Examine data to support reporting, performance tracking, and program review activities.
• Create and update dashboards, reports, and other analytical outputs inside government-managed platforms.
• Check data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency using independent review, sampling, and reconciliation methods.
• Work with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to shape and improve reporting needs.
• Handle both ad hoc requests and recurring reporting tasks with speed and accuracy.
• Spot patterns, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement through detailed analysis.
• Record data sources, methods, and assumptions to keep work transparent and reproducible.
• Contribute to data governance and quality improvement efforts across projects.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in an analytical, health informatics, or information technology discipline.
• Hands-on experience working with healthcare and operational datasets.
• Ability to use data analysis tools, reporting systems, and visualization methods effectively.
• Working knowledge of healthcare data standards, metrics, and performance measures.
• Skill in explaining complex findings in a clear way for leadership audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on data quality.
