Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning in the Dairy/Frozen department to keep it customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and inspect for expired items to preserve freshness and quality.
• Ensure product pricing, signage, and inventory are accurate, following established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, labeling, and flagging.
• Follow strict food safety protocols including managing the cold chain, conducting temperature checks, calibrating thermometers, proper food handling, monitoring sell-by and expiration dates, and maintaining sanitation procedures.
• Support merchandising and promotional standards by maintaining department displays and features.
• Keep the workspace safe and clean by removing hazards, debris, spills, and adhering to Company and Health and Safety policies.
• Remain adaptable to varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, while maintaining energy and focus.
• Perform physically demanding duties such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting products or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Consistently execute repetitive activities like stocking, zoning, and organizing with attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly pay for this role is $18.40 CAD.
