Job description
About the Role
This position is a fixed-term opportunity at the Porirua District Court, extending until July 2027. As a Court Registry Officer, you will form part of a team responsible for the efficient functioning of the Court. The role demands communication and liaison with diverse stakeholders such as defendants, witnesses, family members, lawyers, police officers, and judicial figures including Judges both inside the courtroom and their chambers.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate court proceedings by assisting in smooth court operations, including introductions of Judges and judicial officers using both English and Te Reo Māori, and managing court administration relating to courtroom and chambers activities.
- Manage case documentation by ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information on case files and providing all involved parties, including judges, with necessary case details. This includes comprehensive data entry and coordination to guarantee cases are properly scheduled and heard promptly.
- Deliver excellent customer service at the court's on-site service hub, responding to inquiries through face-to-face, telephone, or email communication.

Salary Details
