About the Company

This opportunity is with GXO Logistics, collaborating with B&Q, based in Southend-On-Sea (SS2 4DQ). The role is a permanent, full-time position operating on a two-week alternating shift schedule.

Working Hours and Schedule

• Week 1: Monday to Friday
• Week 2: Sunday to Thursday
• Daily start time at 11:00 AM
• Contracted for 40 hours per week

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate of £16.64, translating to an annual salary of £34,611.20
• Overtime paid at £24.96 per hour beyond 40 weekly hours

Key Responsibilities

• Multidrop delivery of products directly to customers’ premises, averaging 16 drops during off-peak and up to 24 in peak seasons
• Accurately maintaining driving and working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual logs to comply with Working Time Directive regulations
• Safe, legal, and efficient operation of company vehicles
• Ensuring correct product delivery confirmation and proper documentation signing by customers
• Providing customers with timely updates on estimated delivery and managing communication courteously in case of delays or issues

Candidate Requirements

• Past experience with multidrop and/or store deliveries is preferred but not mandatory
• Possession of a full UK driving license with Category C entitlement
• License must have no more than 6 penalty points with no serious endorsements such as DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC, or TT
• Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Strong customer service capabilities both in spoken and written communication
• Willingness to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) pre-employment checks
• Readiness to commute to the Southend-On-Sea location for specified shifts
