About Fresno Surgical Hospital
Fresno Surgical Hospital (FSH) is a fully accredited, physician-owned surgical facility celebrated for award-winning procedures and exceptional patient satisfaction. The hospital offers an advanced and affordable surgical experience within a hotel-inspired environment designed to promote healing and comfort.
FSH operates through a unique collaboration involving physician owners, Trinity Health System, Dignity Health/CommonSpirit Health, and USPI. This partnership, active for nearly five years, seeks a dynamic leader to enhance performance and cultivate a premier culture for patients, staff, and physicians.
The hospital serves approximately 20,000 patients annually across Central California counties, featuring 13 operating rooms and 5 treatment rooms that foster a relaxing, family-friendly setting. Patients benefit from restaurant-quality meals prepared by professional chefs, while staff trained in hospitality ensure a superior care experience.
Position Overview
The Chief Executive Officer will oversee all operational facets of Fresno Surgical Hospital. This role entails managing functions, processes, and personnel to efficiently deliver surgical services that exceed patient expectations while enhancing clinical and financial outcomes.
Principal Responsibilities
- Oversee personnel administration to ensure effective workforce management
- Manage clinical services to maintain high standards of patient care
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Foster strong relationships with medical staff
- Supervise the physical facility to optimize environment and safety
- Serve as the hospital's administrative representative
- Engage in personal growth and uphold professionalism
Candidate Profile
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Extensive background in hospital management, with particular emphasis on surgical divisions or surgical hospitals
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or facility management, including directing complex organizations within culturally diverse and competitive urban markets
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Fresno, California area
- Additional qualifications may be set by the Governing Board
