Business Development / Relationship Manager

Overview

Recroot Africa is seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy Business Development / Relationship Manager to join a leading investment and capital markets firm based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role requires working in tandem with the CEO to drive client acquisition, cultivate lasting client relationships, and contribute to the company’s growth objectives within the securities and financial services sector in East Africa.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the CEO to facilitate business development and client acquisition efforts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in designated markets.
• Develop, manage, and sustain robust relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Create and implement customized strategies to engage clients effectively.
• Prepare professional presentations, proposals, and client communication materials.
• Organize meetings, conduct timely follow-ups, and manage ongoing relationship activities.
• Maintain continuous communication to ensure client satisfaction and trust.
• Support company growth initiatives and actively contribute to revenue generation.
• Represent the firm with professionalism during client interactions and networking events.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate proven success in business development, client acquisition, or relationship management roles.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Display strong commercial awareness with the ability to confidently engage senior and affluent clients.
• Capable of working effectively alongside executive leadership in a high-paced environment.
• Show strong organizational abilities combined with a proactive, goal-oriented attitude.
• Experience within financial services, investments, or capital markets will be considered a plus.
