About Audi Revolut F1 Team
Audi Revolut F1 Team is the official factory team of Audi entering the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2026. The team operates from three sites: power units are developed in Neuburg, Germany; chassis and race operations are based in Hinwil, Switzerland; and the Motorsport Technology Centre in Bicester, UK, provides strategic access to Formula 1 expertise and partners.
Role Overview
The Aerodynamic Concept Engineer will join the team at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland, to contribute to innovative aerodynamic development and performance enhancements of race cars.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive aerodynamic development from early concept design through to validation employing numerical and experimental techniques.
- Innovate and refine aerodynamic concepts to boost overall vehicle performance.
- Leverage prior development experience to identify opportunities, assess trade-offs, and aid technical decisions.
- Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists, CFD engineers, and designers to transform concepts into practical aerodynamic solutions.
- Interpret CFD and wind tunnel data to deepen flow understanding and direct future developments.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior aerodynamic engineers to enhance team capabilities.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of aerodynamic methodologies, tools, and workflows.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field emphasizing aerodynamics or fluid mechanics.
- Hands-on experience in race car aerodynamic development covering multiple vehicle areas and aerodynamic interactions.
- Proven track record in developing aerodynamic concepts from ideation to validation.
- Solid knowledge of CFD techniques, wind tunnel testing, and aerodynamic validation procedures.
- Experience with aerodynamic analysis and CAD tools, ideally CATIA 3DX.
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Highly motivated, curious, with a drive for technical excellence and willingness to challenge conventional assumptions.
