Yacht Cleaner

Position Overview

This role primarily focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of yachts, attending to customer needs, and supporting base operations. Working hours will vary, including early mornings and evenings, with weekends being the busiest and thus working days scheduled. Time off will generally be granted mid-week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cleaning of yachts from bridge deck to engine bays, applying rinse, soap wash, chamois drying, and detailed finishing.
• Maintain yachts to the highest company standards to impress guests upon arrival.
• Perform daily scrubbing of yacht exteriors.
• Clean shower curtains, rails, external cushions, and bilges thoroughly.
• Detail and clean all lockers including gas, anchor, and water lockers, ensuring rims and edges are spotless.
• Detail helm stations, including winch handle compartments, cup holders, and dorades.
• Buff yachts to a polished finish.
• Clean all rubbing strakes and ensure exhaust outlets remain immaculate.
• Report any defects or maintenance issues encountered during cleaning to the technical manager promptly.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently to minimize costs.
• Propose ways to enhance cleaning methods and effectiveness.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the line manager, supporting other departments and cleaning related areas as needed.
