Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Technical Support Engineer who will work with packet microwave and millimeter-wave radio platforms used for front-haul and mobile backhaul transport in 3G, 4G, and 5G networks, along with fixed wireless access broadband deployments. The role includes both remote/customer technical support and field implementation work across the United States, with the operating base in Texas or Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to technical questions from customers and diagnose issues connected to wireless systems, including 4G/LTE, 5G, and related network protocols.
• Travel to customer locations to oversee trial-system installations and train customer engineers on deploying and operating the wireless solutions.
• Support computer systems and hardware, maintaining performance and security through practical IT and desktop support methods.
• Work closely with internal colleagues to solve difficult technical problems and improve the customer experience.
• Use Microsoft Office and SQL to prepare documentation, track information, and support reporting tasks.

Required Qualifications

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Technical Support or Field Engineer roles involving RF systems.
• Microwave systems experience is strongly preferred.
• A solid understanding of RF systems theory.
• Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and protocols.
• Authorization to work in the United States and US residency.
• Willingness to travel within the USA.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with network protocol analyzers and traffic generators.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Ability to use SQL.
• Exposure to NMS systems.

Additional Information
