Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and timely execution of shunting movements using mechanical signal boxes at the Berlin marshalling yard.
- Set entire routes for trains (including switches, track paths, signals) to guarantee a secure departure.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues at neighboring signal boxes, train drivers, and control centers.
- Issue, receive, and transmit operational messages and timetable notifications diligently.
- Monitor and inspect railway tracks and manage track closures when disruptions occur.
Candidate Profile
- Experience as a Switch Operator with comprehensive knowledge of mechanical signal technology, or strong willingness to learn this skill.
- Exhibit high responsibility, reliability, expert handling under stress, and punctuality.
- Possess operational fitness for the role of Switch Operator.
- Willingness to work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
