Warehouse Specialist (WMS) - West

Company Overview

An established company currently undergoing a major business transformation is seeking a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Specialist to support both technical and operational functions of its warehouse systems.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing system improvements, optimizing warehouse processes, and implementing projects across warehousing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily administration, configuration, and upkeep of the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Serve as a liaison connecting warehouse operations, IT departments, and external vendors
• Identify and recommend enhancements to warehouse procedures, WMS functionalities, and operation efficiency
• Contribute to system upgrades, new implementations, integrations, and enhancement initiatives
• Assist in testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), problem resolution, and root cause investigations
• Create and update system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training resources for users
• Analyze operational data and system performance metrics to support continuous improvement efforts
• Help manage organizational change as the company undergoes transformation efforts

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar disciplines
• Demonstrated experience working with Warehouse Management Systems within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or retail sectors
• Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and order fulfillment workflows
• Hands-on involvement in WMS upgrades, rollouts, support, or system enhancement projects
• Capability to translate business needs into improved systems and processes
• Project experience connected to business transformation, process optimization, or system migrations
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration across operations and IT teams
• Analytical thinker with excellent communication capabilities
• Familiarity with ERP system integration and reporting tools is preferred
