Warehouse Operator

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our Warehouse team at our Kawerau site in the Bay of Plenty as a Machine Operator specializing in Forklift, slipsheet, and clamps operation. Essity's Kawerau facility utilizes modern, automated papermaking and converting technology. The workplace culture emphasizes continuous improvement in safety, product quality, reliability, and meeting customer demands while minimizing environmental impact through material reuse.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and inspect incoming deliveries, then stock and store raw materials appropriately.
• Pick and supply materials to different production units efficiently.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to production lines.
• Support the steady flow of finished goods to distribution channels.
• Manage waste materials by clearing them for reprocessing.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles including forklifts, slipsheets, and clamps.
• Organize and optimize warehouse storage areas.
• Contribute ideas to enhance operational processes and workflow.

Candidate Profile

• Self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Innovative with practical mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience or skills in inventory management.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Reliable, punctual, and enjoys working closely with team members.
• Holds a valid forklift license or willing to obtain one immediately if hired.
