Job description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Incharge to oversee daily warehouse functions such as inventory management, goods storage and dispatch, and supervising warehouse personnel. The role aims to maintain smooth, efficient stock handling and timely order completion while ensuring safety and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise receiving, storing, and dispatching of inventory items effectively.
- Maintain precise inventory documentation and perform regular stock audits or cycle counts.
- Lead and manage warehouse staff including loaders, pickers, and packers, delegating daily responsibilities.
- Ensure correct labeling, proper storage, and rotation of stock using FIFO or FEFO methods.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams for prompt fulfillment of orders.
- Monitor stock levels continuously, triggering reorder notifications to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Adhere strictly to warehouse safety, hygiene, and operational guidelines.
- Manage all warehouse-related documentation such as Goods Received Notes, delivery challans, stock registers, and dispatch records.
- Handle returns, damage assessments, and resolve discrepancies in inventory.
- Optimize warehouse space usage and improve layout planning.
- Generate periodic reports for management on inventory status, dispatch activities, and wastage metrics.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate degree in any field; a diploma or certification in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant warehouse and inventory operations experience, including 1 to 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency with inventory management or warehouse management software such as SAP or Tally.
- Excellent organizational skills coupled with strong leadership capabilities.
- Good physical stamina to perform warehouse floor duties as needed.

Compensation
