About the Role
Mercor is a prominent connector of top-tier creative and technical experts with leading AI research laboratories. Headquartered in San Francisco, our investors include Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
This contract opportunity offers a remote position as a Design Expert, with compensation ranging from $80 to $150 per hour.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop clear, task-oriented grading standards for authentic design deliverables, including brand identity systems, campaign visuals, and packaging concepts.
- Evaluate AI-produced and human design samples using established criteria, providing comprehensive written explanations supporting each rating.
- Employ consistent, data-driven judgment to guarantee scores are reliable and defendable.
- Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and rapidly refine evaluations accordingly.
- Work independently and asynchronously to adhere to deadlines and enhance AI model performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ professional experience in graphic, brand, or visual design disciplines.
- Experience at elite design studios, creative agencies, or senior design roles within leading consumer or technology companies.
- Expert knowledge of typography, layout principles, visual hierarchy, color theory, composition, and brand system development.
- Exceptional skills in written communication.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a willingness to have judgment constructively reviewed.
Preferred: Experience involving AI training, evaluation, or projects integrating human data is desirable.
