Join the team at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village in Howick, Auckland as a full-time Village Maintenance Support specialist. This physically engaging position operates Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It presents a multifaceted maintenance and handyperson opportunity crucial to the smooth functioning of our village community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist new residents during their move-in by helping to move furniture and offer support for up to four hours in setting up their apartments.
• Manage scheduled waste collection and disposal ensuring cleanliness of the village.
• Maintain tidy and well-kept village grounds and gardens.
• Support stock control including receiving and managing incoming goods and storage.
• Foster a warm, welcoming, and caring environment throughout the village.

Candidate Profile

• Good physical fitness to manage heavy lifting and manual tasks.
• High level of empathy and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Consistently reliable with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Positive, proactive mindset with capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
