Overview
We are looking for an experienced Vice President / General Manager of Operations to lead and manage our advanced manufacturing operations with full profit and loss responsibility. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee multiple manufacturing sites and spearhead efforts to achieve exceptional outcomes in safety, quality, delivery, cost management, productivity, and sustainable growth. This senior executive role demands a forward-thinking and transformative leader, not one focused on maintaining existing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the complete business profit and loss, including revenue growth, profitability, EBITDA, budgeting, forecasting, cost reduction strategies, and capital expenditure planning.
- Manage all aspects of manufacturing operations across multiple locations encompassing production, quality assurance, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, production planning, logistics, procurement, warehousing, and health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Champion operational excellence by implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Industry 4.0 practices, and automation technologies.
- Foster a culture committed to zero harm, zero defects, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), asset usage, and key performance indicators through strategic manufacturing planning and capacity management.
- Develop strong relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), ensuring successful project launches, quality standards, delivery timelines, and commercial agreements are met.
- Enhance supplier performance, execute strategic sourcing initiatives, inventory optimization, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Lead organizational transformation, establish governance frameworks, manage risks, and ensure business continuity plans are effective.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
- Bring at least 15 years of advancing leadership experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of 5 years in senior roles such as Plant Head, Operations Director, General Manager, or Vice President.
- Essential experience in Tier-1 automotive or manufacturing sectors supplying global OEMs.
- Demonstrated ability managing multiple manufacturing facilities with full P&L accountability.
- Deep knowledge of Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), automation, and digital manufacturing methods.
- Strong advantage: experience in greenfield plant setup, commissioning, and readiness for operations.
