Role Overview
The Vice President of Projects position is a full-time remote role responsible for directing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of strategic projects organization-wide. This leadership role involves managing the project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives, and aligning efforts with the company’s long-term vision and goals.
Key daily duties include leading cross-functional project teams, defining timelines and milestones, monitoring progress, managing risks and budgets, and optimizing project management processes. The role also entails introducing best practices, reporting performance metrics to senior management, and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify project scope, allocate resources, and establish success criteria.
Key Qualifications
- Extensive experience in project and program management with a history of guiding complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong skills in strategic planning and executing initiatives that reflect organizational priorities.
- Proven leadership abilities including team management, mentoring, resolving conflicts, and performance oversight.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills suited for remote, diverse teams.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, PMI frameworks, or equivalent.
- Capability to oversee budgets, resources, timelines, and maintain quality with risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications like PMP are advantageous.
- Experience working within content-focused, innovation-driven, or mission-based organizations is a plus.
