Position Overview
A highly stable European banking institution is seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to become a vital part of their New York City team, working in a hybrid environment. The role offers a competitive salary range between $140,000 and $175,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and harmonize the HR operations such as payroll management and reconciliation, employee benefits administration, recruitment, and employee relations by collaborating with both external vendors and internal teams.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, ensuring they comply with applicable regulations and standards.
- Assist in the budgeting process related to personnel and workforce planning activities.
- Facilitate support for work visa applications and related processes.
- Handle employee relations issues including conducting investigations, managing accommodation requests, and maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Coordinate comprehensive recruitment cycles and onboarding procedures for new hires.
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures adhere to regulatory, legal, audit, and governance requirements.
- Evaluate and enhance HR workflow efficiencies, policies, and systems continually.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in HR generalist roles.
- A bachelor's degree is mandatory, with a preference for candidates holding HR certifications.
- Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or MBA are advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP systems is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with HRIS, payroll platforms, immigration visa procedures, and compliance reporting is required.
- Background working within banking or other regulated international financial sectors is essential.
- Competency in the German language is considered a beneficial asset.
- Strong expertise in legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to human resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities are imperative.
