Job description
Role Overview
The Treasury Officer is tasked with managing daily treasury operations, including monitoring and administering bank-related activities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring organizational liquidity, cash flow management, and the handling of financial investments. The focus is on maximizing financial resources while minimizing potential risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Update the bank position report every day to reflect current standings.
- Perform bank reconciliations against the general ledger as well as for assigned clearing accounts.
- Ensure timely creation of journal entries regarding bank account transactions.
- Prepare and submit reports on bank exposure and facility utilization promptly.
- Manage confidential and sensitive documents daily, including financial records, compliance information, and Know Your Client (KYC) materials.
- Review all payment methods such as transfers, orders, and checks for adherence to standards and established procedures.
- Create various other journal entries within the financial system as needed.
- Maintain accurate and secure screening records per data protection regulations.
- Monitor account schedules including prepayments, loans, and amortization details.
- Engage proactively with bank representatives to address banking matters and advise on possible solutions.
- Document all workflow processes to align with the organization's due diligence policies.
- Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives by participating in safety programs and contributing to incident management in accordance with company and IMS policies.
Experience Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience, with at least 3 years directly relevant to treasury functions. Prior experience of 2 years within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is advantageous.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required.
- Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
