Position Overview

This fully remote role is based in Western Australia, ideally suited for doctors who work late afternoon to evening shifts with some flexibility, focusing on delivering telehealth consultations that merge evidence-based medicine with innovative patient care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and high-quality consultations for a diverse range of medical presentations and patient ages.
• Ensure compliance with Western Australia's prescribing regulations, including confident management of Schedule 8 medications within telehealth settings.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, prescribe medications (Schedules 4 and 8), and arrange follow-up appointments.
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and doctor support teams to facilitate efficient and continuous patient care.
• Maintain thorough documentation and regulatory adherence in a digital environment.
• Utilize digital technologies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Commit to excellent patient care and continuity throughout treatment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• In-depth knowledge of Western Australian prescribing guidelines, including Schedule 8 medication management.
• Proven ability to manage concise consultations lasting approximately 10 minutes (4 to 6 patients per hour).
• Awareness of privacy regulations, RTPM systems, Schedule 8 rules, and medico-legal responsibilities.
• Sound clinical judgment with a focus on evidence-based and harm reduction approaches.
• Strong organizational skills with precision in documentation.
• Experience operating multiple digital platforms effectively.
• Punctual, dependable, and proactive in fostering teamwork and ongoing patient relationships.

Additional Details

• Compensation is $60 per consultation, averaging 4 to 6 patients per hour, resulting in approximately $360 per hour, with additional incentives for extended availability.
