Role Summary
We are looking for a Telecommunications Specialist to join on a contract basis, working remotely from any location. The role involves the design, implementation, and upkeep of telecommunications systems and infrastructure, focusing on optimizing network architecture and resolving technical issues to ensure reliability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and fine-tune telecommunications networks including VoIP, SIP, and PSTN systems.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate telecom solutions with existing IT environments.
- Conduct ongoing network monitoring and diagnostics, swiftly addressing any incidents to minimize service interruptions.
- Configure and manage telecom hardware components such as routers, switches, and gateways.
- Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, policies, and operational procedures accessible to both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in telecommunications engineering or closely related fields.
- Advanced understanding of VoIP, SIP, and PSTN communication protocols and technologies.
- Strong expertise in network architecture, routing, and switching principles.
- Hands-on experience managing telecommunications equipment including routers, switches, and gateways.
- Competence with network monitoring and diagnostic utilities.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve intricate network problems efficiently.
- Effective communication skills suitable for collaboration with both technical specialists and non-technical personnel.
