Technician (Landscape & Pest Control Coordinator)

This role demands hands-on maintenance of general and specialized landscapes, including bonsai and shrubs, ensuring high-quality upkeep and pest control management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform hands-on care for various landscapes including bonsai and shrubs.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify landscape defects and report findings promptly to supervisors.
• Accompany and oversee vendors and service partners responsible for landscape, pest control, and irrigation services.
• Ensure all maintenance and service tasks are conducted according to established standard operating procedures, guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Assist with operation and upkeep of the irrigation system.
• Update simple administrative records and systems related to maintenance activities.
• Carry out inventory management including stock checks, store organization, and equipment inspection.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including supporting other facilities teams as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational qualification: ‘N’ level or above preferred.
• NEA certification in pest management is an advantage.
• Relevant landscape maintenance training certificates will be beneficial.
• At least three years of practical experience in landscape gardening or a similar role.

Skills and Additional Requirements

• Understanding of horticultural chemicals and pesticide applications is desirable.
• Comfort working outdoors and in various environmental conditions such as fatigue, noise, and dust; ability to access all property areas including elevated locations.
• Competence in assessing plant health and applying treatments appropriately.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Capability to monitor contractor progress on defect rectification and equipment functionality.
• Enforce safety protocols and risk assessments for contractors.
• Willingness to work flexible days, including weekends, shifts, and extended hours if required.
• Attend meetings regularly to collaborate on maintenance improvements and service levels.
• Document and maintain records for landscape, pest control, and irrigation activities.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality.
