Role Overview
The position of Technical Sales Engineer in Metal Fabrication is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. Responsibilities include discovering and cultivating new business opportunities related to metal fabrication products and services, crafting detailed technical and commercial proposals, and carrying out client site assessments to comprehend their specific needs.
This role entails delivering technical presentations, demonstrating products, coordinating closely with engineering and production departments to generate precise quotes, and managing projects from initial inquiry through to final delivery. Daily duties comprise responding to customer queries, providing technical solutions and assistance, negotiating agreements, and building strong relationships with current and potential clients. Additionally, the engineer will keep track of market trends and competitors and participate in industry events to aid business expansion.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven technical sales and sales experience related to industrial or metal fabrication products.
- Background in sales engineering, including composing quotations, proposals, and technical offers.
- Technical support skills, covering troubleshooting, product selection, and solution design.
- Effective communication capabilities for client engagement, presentations, and internal collaboration.
- Relevant experience in metal fabrication, steel structures, or similar industrial sectors is highly valued.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with basic CRM platforms; strong organizational and time-management skills required.
- Fluency in English mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
